Survey Reveals Earth Friendly Wound Care Wanted

SURVEY REVEALS AUSSIES WANT AN EARTH FRIENDLY WOUND CARE SOLUTION

Research (1) commissioned by PATCH has revealed 87.4 per cent of Australians surveyed would be likely to switch to an environmental and sustainably focused wound care brand and 89.9 per cent said they were likely to switch to products with efforts towards minimising packaging.

Australian product, PATCH, is now available in over 26 countries throughout Europe, the US and parts of Asia and is the world’s first organic, hypoallergenic and biodegradable and compostable wound covering.

Made from organic bamboo fibre, PATCH has been documented in a video to break down into the soil in a matter of weeks. The product is made sustainably from bamboo and manufactured close to the source where the bamboo is grown, reducing environmental impact and minimising the carbon footprint.

In addition to its environmental credentials, PATCH was created when Mr Dutton discovered his son, Charlie, had an adverse reaction to an adhesive bandage. Research (2) has since revealed that one in four Australians surveyed are allergic to commercial wound covering and 85.2 per cent claimed they would choose a natural wound care alternatives.
